Beijing, Sep 6 (IANS) Thieves quietly removed the tyres of a brand new car as its owner celebrated the new acquisition by having a party at a hotel in China.

Thieves not only removed the car’s tyres, they replaced it with bricks as the car’s owner and her family celebrated the purchase in Henan province, China Daily Monday quoted Dahe Daily as reporting.

The theft took just hours after a woman, surnamed An, bought the car for 82,000 yuan ($12,054).

After celebrating the car’s arrival, the family decided to spend the night at the hotel.

The next morning, An found that her new car was resting on four piles of bricks.
