Cairo, Feb 3 (DPA) Three people were reported to have died Thursday in the ongoing unrest in Cairo between pro and anti-government protesters.

Two protesters died in Tahrir Square, the epicentre of the clashes, while another person died in the nearby Ramsis Square. The deaths were said by medics to have been the result of injuries sustained from hurled stones.

Five people were reported to have died Wednesday and in the early hours of Thursday.

The ministry of health, according to broadcaster al Jazeera, is reporting 13 killed in total over the past few days.

Earlier this week, the UN estimated that up to 300 people died in last week’s violence, but the numbers were difficult to confirm.
