Hong Kong, April 7 (DPA) A tourist died when he toppled over the side of an escalator in Hong Kong following a drinking session, a news report said Wednesday.
The South Asian man, aged 29, fell 12 metres to his death after leaning on the handrail of the escalator in the Two IFC office and shopping complex, the Hong Kong Standard newspaper said.
The newspaper said the man, who has not been named by police, had been drinking with friends and lost his balance as he travelled down the escalator with a woman companion on Monday night.
