Yangon, July 31 (IANS) Myanmar’s top officials will now have to report their assets to the president, a media report said Tuesday.

Myanmar President’s Office has notified the government members at central level to compile report of their private-owned economic assets to the president, reported Xinhua citing the Venus News.
The government members who are to file the report include ministers, chief justice and judges, constitutional tribunal chairperson and members, attorney-general, auditor-general, region or state chief ministers and ministers, and region or state chief justice and judges.
The notification set Aug 1 as deadline for the submission of the report.
No such measures had been taken in successive governments since 1962 until the present civilian government.
