Dhaka, Sep 29 (IANS) At least seven people were killed and over 20 injured when a passenger train rammed into two buses at an unmanned level crossing here in the Bangladesh capital Wednesday, police said.
Kamrun Nahar, an officer at the Jatrabari police station in Dhaka, said ‘at least seven people died on the spot following the collision’.
The accident occurred at around 5.15 p.m., Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of the police station, was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
A similar accident occurred recently in Tangail district, 92 km from Dhaka, killing four people.
