London, June 15 (IANS) Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, who has dubbed for the cartoon character Queen Amphitrite in the animation show ‘SpongeBob Squarepants’, says it was fun to be a queen for a day.

‘I had such a great time recording the voice of Queen Amphitrite. How fun to be a queen for a day! We are all looking forward to watching it together,’ she said.

The 36-year-old, who has three sons – Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz with footballer husband David Beckham – agreed to be a part of the upcoming episode of Nickelodeon cartoon for her children’s sake, reports dailymail.co.uk.

‘I was so thrilled when I was asked to be a part of SpongeBob as my children love the show. When I told the boys that I was going to be on the show, they were so excited,’ she said.

The episode featuring Victoria will be aired July 5.

She is the latest to lend their voices to the popular US cartoon. Earlier David Bowie, David Hasselhoff, Johnny Depp and Ricky Gervais gave voiceover for different characters in the show.
