Johannesburg, June 22 (DPA) Pre-tournament favourites Spain picked up their first World Cup points with a 2-0 win over Honduras in Group H Monday courtesy a David Villa double.

Barcelona’s new signing scored a spectacular first on 17 minutes and added a second on 51 minutes before missing a penalty at the Ellis Park Stadium.

Spain now have three points and go above Switzerland on goal difference into second place. They can top the group if they beat Chile in Pretoria Friday.
