London, July 31 (IANS) A woman in Britain, who recruited two men whom she met in a bar and wooed for sex at home in exchange for murdering her elderly husband, has been sentenced to life in prison.

Charlotte Collinge, 45, took two men back to the 400,000-pound house she shared with her husband Clifford Collinge, 61, promising them sex, Daily Mail reported.
On reaching home, she told Stephen Shreeves, 40, and Kelvin Dale, 27, that she “hated” her husband, and asked if they knew anyone who could kill him.
The men later brutally attacked her husband, a retired newsagent and left him with 46 separate injuries.
Collinge, who was out of the house at the time buying cocaine, returned to the house in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, to find her husband lying in a pool of blood. But she stepped over his body instead of calling an ambulance.
A worried friend of Collinge, whom she had spoken to over the phone, summoned help for the injured man half-an-hour later.
According to prosecutors, had there not been a delay in dialling 999 for help, the elderly man might have survived.
A jury, following a four-week trial, found Collinge, Shreeves and Dale guilty of the man’s murder.
Collinge was jailed Tuesday for a minimum of 23 years while the two attackers –Shreeves and Dale — were each jailed for 18 years.
