Gurgaon, April 26 (Inditop.com) A 22-year-old braveheart fought off two youths in this Haryana district when they tried to snatch her bag. She later got them arrested here, police said Monday.
“She was accosted by two snatchers near Shivam Apartment in Sector 28 who tried to snatch her bag. She bravely fought with them and raised an alarm. Later, police arrested them,” Station House Officer (SHO) Jagdish said.
The incident took place around 8 p.m. Saturday when the woman, who works at a hotel, was returning home.
“She was travelling on her scooty. The men stopped her at an isolated place and tried to snatch the bag. The lady snatched her bag back and accelerated her two-wheeler. The men followed her and stopped her again. But she reached a crowded place and raised an alarm,” Jagdish added.
The men, Vaibhav and Janit, both in their 20s, were brothers. According to police, they were drug addicts. The Gurgaon police commissioner has decided to reward the woman.
